ZIMW vs PAKW, 1st One-Day: Pakistan win by 178 runs

It was a good day in Harare for Pakistan as the team went on to defeat the hosts with ease.

Batting first, Pakistan had a minor slump when both their openers got out cheaply. The younster Sohail then joined hands with the captain Javeria Khan to had tiny partnership by she got out for just 29.

Javeria Khan then showed her experience, took Aliya Riaz under her wing and the duo began to build the ship. Khan got out for 81 and Riaz made 74.

A few useful runs in the lower order took the team to 255 in their 50 overs.

For Zimbabwe, Sibanda and Mbofana had two wickets each.

In return, Sana and Baig destroyed the batting of Zimbabwe and it was the tiny partnership of Mujaji and Marange took to the team to 77.

For Pakistan, Sana Dar, Iqbal had two wickets each while Baig, Sandhu and Raiz grabbed one each.

One must keep in mind that this is the first match for Zimbabwe since 2019 Qualifier and they do not have ICC ODI status.
