The death toll due to the violence that happened in the North East Delhi rose to 13 and more than 150 reported injured on Tuesday.

The CBSE said it took the decision “based on the request of the Directorate of Education and the government of Delhi and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents”.

The violence took place on the day when PM Modi and US President Trump met to speak about various issues, including trade, defence and other deals.

On Monday, a Delhi Police constable and three civilians died in the clashes that broke out between groups supporting and protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Severe violence broke out between the two groups who started attacking each other with stones and rods.
