In one heartbreaking incident, 18 migrant workers were found in a cement mixer lorry, trying to reach Lucknow amid lockdown.
Police officers stationed on the border between the state’s Indore and Ujjain districts stopped the truck to check for illegal movement of people during the nationwide lockdown.
Due to truck driver’s nervous reaction, the Police checked the truck only to find 18 men inside the mixer.
Immediately, FIR was filed on the truck owner and the truck was taken to the Police station. The people were sent to medical screening for Quarantine. The Government is currently arranging buses for the migrants.
