Thanks for everything Skip: Virat Kohli on MS Dhoni retirement

Wishes are pouring in from all parts of the world for “former” Indian cricketer MS Dhoni who announced his retirement today. MS Dhoni, during his time with the Indian team, got close to many young cricketers and he was a mentor.
He shared many memorable partnerships with them as well. Virat Kohli was one of the players with whom he had many match-winning knocks. Kohli has always called Dhoni as his mentor.

Today, he took to social media to share an emotional post for his skipper. He wrote:
“Every cricketer has to end his journey one day, but still when someone you’ve gotten to know so closely announces that decision, you feel the emotion much more. What you’ve done for the country will always remain in everyone’s heart, but the mutual respect and warmth I’ve received from you will always stay in mine. The world has seen achievements, I’ve seen the person. Thanks for everything skip. I tip my hat to you 👏🇮🇳 @mahi7781”
