Mani Ratnam’s former assistant’s independent film wins big at MISAFF Canada

Parallel Lines, an independent feature film won multiple awards at Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival (MISAFF), Canada.

Directed by Mr Mani Ratnam’s former assistant Kiran R, the film bagged Jury Prize. The film also got Jury Special Mention for screenplay, editing, sound design and for ensemble cast.

The film which stars Vatsan M Natarajan and Masanth Natarajan (from Koothu-P-Pattarai) is shot by Sundar Ram Krishnan, with BGM by Santhan Anebajagane.

The film is about the incidents that takes place when two Facebook friends meet for the first time.

Due to coronavirus pandemic, the award ceremony held online this year.
