IND vs AUS – Rohit Sharma leaves for Australia

Rohit Sharma

Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has left for Australia after clearing the fitness test.

According to ANI, Rohit left today morning and will enter quarantine once he reach the country.

He is likely to be ready for the third Test of the four-match Test series.

There was a speculation around the fitness of Rohit for months now.

Rohit injured his hamstring while playing for Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded IPL. He missed a few matches before appearing for the franchise again.

At the same time, he was initially left out of the Australia tour and BCCI did not communicate well regarding the issue at that time.

Later, BCCI revealed that Rohit had to leave to Mumbai to be with his father who had health concerns.

He then joined the rehab session at NCA and cleared the fitness test recently.

Rohit’s inclusion is a boost for India considering that Virat Kohli will be missing the latter half of the Test series because of the birth of his first child.
