Asian Snooker Championship: Pankaj Advani completes career Grand Slam!

India’s cueist Pankaj Advani created history on Friday as he defeated Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon in the final of the Asian Snooker Championship to lift the trophy.

After being 3-1 down, Pankaj bounced back to win the match 6-3 [10-52, 1-97(97), 95(59)-1, 1-110(75), 60-43, 71-44, 80-49, 72-42, 67-1].

With this win, He becomes the ONLY cueist to win Asian and World championships in all formats. Also, the only cueist to win it all in both Billiards and Snooker.

He conquered the ACBS Asian Snooker events – 6-red (short format) and 15-red (long format) – along with the IBSF World Championships in both formats too.

In his 16 years of international career, Pankaj Advani has won 21 World Title and 9 Asian Title in different formats of Cue Sports. The only title that was missing in his Trophy Cabinet was Asian Snooker Championship which he won on Friday.

He took to Social Media to write: ASIAN SNOOKER CHAMPION 🏆😘💪🏼🥇 My trophy cabinet is now complete 😀 Never worked so hard in my entire career to win a title. Had to fight back in most matches and even high fever during the final! NEVER SAY DIE.

Pankaj will now take part in IBSF World Cup next week in Doha.
