Tamil Nadu saw yet another day in which the number of cases reached a new high with 1149 cases in a day taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 22333.
Chennai, again, was in the forefront contributing the maximum number of cases to the tally. On Sunday, the state capital saw 804 people testing positive for COVID-19 with the total number of cases in the city adding up to 14802.
Out of 1149 cases reported, 95 patients were people who came from other states and countries in the last week or so via trains and flights.

The number of deaths recorded in today was 13 taking the total number of deaths to 173. As many as 757 patients were discharged on Sunday, and the number of people recovered so far in the state is 12757.
