A shocking news was reported from Gujarat’s Vadodara where a husband allegedly thrashed his 24-year-old wife brutally for defeating him in an online ludo game repeatedly. As per reports the woman has suffered a serious spinal cord injury and is currently under treatment.
According to reports, woman wanted her husband to stay indoors due to the pandemic. She suggested to play the ludo game, however, she ended up winning consecutively.
His ego got in way as he broke her spinal causing a gap between two of her vertebrae. She was rushed to the hospital.
The case has also reached to the 181 Abhayam helpline while the woman decided to go to her parents’ home instead of returning to her husband.
The counselor gave her two options, one was to file FIR other was to settle the issue. The woman chose the latter as her husband apologized.
According to the counselor:
‘His ego was hurt thinking that wife outsmarted him and was more intelligent as she also contributed to the family income.’
