Pallavaram: Migrant workers protest demanding to send back home

Protest broke out in various parts of India where the migrant workers are gathering in numbers demanding to be sent back home.

Ever since they heard the extension of lockdown as well as about the special arrangements that are made to send workers back to their state, people are gathering in numbers.

Recently, a protest broke out in Velachery, however, Police brought things under control after assuring that the arrangements would be made soon.

Now, a huge crowd gathered in Pallavaram. Police are currently trying to talk to the workers to control the situation.

Tamil Nadu is yet to make special arrangement vehicles for the workers.

Chennai is the most affected city in Tamil Nadu and is under red zone.

Meanwhile, the Government announced that there will be an extension in lockdown till May 17th in order to fight the coronavirus outbreak.
