Soon, they realised that the government of India has an official account on TikTok with a verified blue tick. The bio description says that it is a citizen engagement platform of the government of India.

The account has 909.1k followers and 6.5 million likes. Most of the content in the account comprises of yoga, Coronavirus and the government’s achievements.
