Golfer Tiger Woods has been injured in a serious car accident near Los Angeles, according to media news.
He was freed from his vehicle and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
“The vehicle sustained major damage,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
“Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.”
The extent of Woods’ injuries and the circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear at this time.
