Report: Facebook might change its name soon

Social media giant Facebook could change their name soon as a part of company rebrand.

According to report in the Verge, the Facebook chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg is planning to talk about the same during Facebook’s annual Connect Conference on 28th October. However, the name change could happen soon too.

It will be similar to how Google rebranded under the Alphabet Umbrella. Under a parent company, Facebook will be one of the products.

The parent company will over see other apps like Instagram, WhatsApp as well.

However, there is no official announcement regarding the same yet.

Earlier this month, The Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram went down for hours. In fact, the apps went down twice in same month.
