IPL retention- CSK release Jadhav, Chawla, Vijay

Chennai Super Kings have decided to release three players ahead of the IPL 2021. According to ESPN, the team has decided to release Kedhar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla, Murali Vijay ahead of the auction.

Kedhar Jadhav had a poor season in the last edition. Murali Vijay couldn’t convert his starts as well. Piyush Chawla, who was one of the highest buys for CSK in that edition, failed too.

Now, the team has already decided to part ways with Harbhajan Singh. The latter didn’t feature in the IPL 2020 due to family reasons.

Shane Watson will be another big miss for the team. The veteran all-rounder has called it a day already.

The team, however, have decided to back or retain Suresh Raina. The former Indian all-rounder missed out 2020 season due to family concerns.
