Sandeep Lamichchane becomes 4th Nepal player to test positive for Covid-19

T20 Specialist Sandeep Lamichchane has tested positive for COVID-19. He was signed by Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming Big Bash Season.

In a Twitter tweet, the legspinner revealed that he has been experiencing body aches since Wednesday and is currently in home quarantine.

After a successful stint with Melbourne Stars, he switched to Hobart Hurricanes this year. It’ll be a big blow for hurricanes if he withdrew from the league.

Nepal planned to conduct a training camp at Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kathmandu to get their players trained. With Skipper Gyanendra Malla, his deputy Dipendra Singh Airee, Opener Rohit Paudel along with a staff member Pradeep Lama also testing positive, They have an uphill task ahead to bring cricket back into action.
