Tokyo Paralympics: Vinod Kumar wins bronze medal

India’s Vinod Kumar has won the third medal for the day for India. He had won the medal in the Discus throw F52 event on Sunday to win India its third medal.

Vinod Kumar had a throw of 19.91m, creating an Asian record. Poland’s Piotr Kosewicz won the Gold with 20.02m. Velimir Šandor from Croatia had silver with a throw of 19.98m.

Earlier, star paddler Bhavinaben Patel won a silver medal, India’s first, in the women’s singles table tennis. It was the first Olympic medal in the Para table tennis category.

Later in the day, Nishad Kumar won silver in the T47 High Jump event. He also broke the Asian Record.
