India faced their first defeat against Pakistan in men’s T20I World cup as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan gave the team a massive 10-wicket victory.
Pakistan began the match well as they removed KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma immediately and Suryakumar Yadav followed as well. India found themselves at 31/3 as Afridi got rid of openers while Hasan Ali had Suryakumar Yadav.
Skipper Kohli and Keeper Pant began to build a partnership, they shared a half century stand.
Pant made 39 from 30 before getting out to Shadab Khan. Kohli began to attack, scored 57 from 49.
In the end, quick cameo from Hardik Pandya took the team to 151.
In return, Pakistan batted as if they were batting in different track as Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam did well to take the team home safe.
Azam made 68* from 52 while Rizwan had 79* from 55. No Indian bowler had a good day in the field as the most economical in the team was Bumrah, who gave away 22 runs from 3 overs.
