Music Composer Ilaiyaraaja who is also a close friend of singer SP Balasubrahmanyam wished the latter a speedy recovery.
Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam is currently on life support but is doing stable. He tested positive for coronavirus on August 5. He announced the same on his social media. Despite him being optimistic, his conditions worsened on August 13th. He was admited in MGM Healthcare hospital.
A statement released by MGM Healthcare read, “There has been a setback in the health of Thiru S P Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted at MGM Healthcare for symptoms of COVID since 5th August 2020. In a late night development on 13th August 2020, his condition had deteriorated, and based on the advice of the expert medical team attending to him, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and he is on life support and his condition remains critical. He is currently under observation by the team of experts from critical care and his haemodynamic and clinical parameters are being closely monitored”.
His friends and followers are praying for his speedy recovery. Composer Ilaiyaraaja in a video wished him a speedy recovery.
He asked SPB to get up and come soon, he added that he is waiting for him. Talking about their friendship, he said that it goes beyond cinema and they started very early on stage, somewhere else. Little did they know that music would give them life. He also added that their friendship has seen many fights but they have always been close. He then said that he will pray to God for his speedy recovery.
Recently, Ilaiyaraaja joined with SPB for a song about ‘Corona Warriors’.
