India had conquered the London to go 2-1 up in the series against England. The match was an excellent turn around. India brought Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur for the game.

India batted first and it looked as if England had things under control. Especially, after dominating in the 3rd Test. The hosts reduced India to 191 in the first innings.
Kohli had a half-century but the real savior for that night was Shardul Thakur who had 57 from 36. Woakes was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets.

However, Pope played an excellent inning, scored 81. He had the support of Woakes, who made a fifty as well. The team made 290.

Rohit made 127 while Pujara had 61. After their dismissal, Kohli made 40 but the impactful innings once again came from Thakur. He scored 60 from 72 deliveries to extend India’s lead. He had Pant for his company. The keeper scored a half-century as well.
In the end, India made 466 runs. With more than a day in hand, the game was equally poised at that time.
To add more, England openers ended the fourth day on a high, without giving away any wickets. They added 100 runs for the first wicket. However, the wicket started to tumble on Day five.
Thakur removed Burns while Jadeja had Hameed. A run-out saw Malan’s dismissal, Umesh Yadav removed Root. After the captain’s dismissal, it was more or less an easy way out. England then got out for 210 runs. Umesh Yadav topped the list with three wickets to his name.
