The upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin from March 26 and will run till 29th May.
BCCI has announced the format for this year’s IPL where ten teams will participate instead of eight.
The matches will take place in Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil, MCA international cricket stadium.
Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches in total while the other two will host 15 matches.
Each team will play 4 matches at Wankhede and DY Patil while they will play three matches each at MCA international cricket stadium and Brabourne Stadium.
Ten teams are split into two groups based on the number of trophies and the number of finals the teams have reached so far.

Group A – MI, KKR, RR, DC, LSG.
Group B- CSK, SRH, RCB, PBKS, GT.
The teams will play the other members of their same group twice. They will also play twice against the team which is exactly at the same spot in the other group.
MI × CSK, KKR × SRH, RR × RCB. DC × PBKS, LSG × GT.
Apart from this, each team will play the teams in other group once.
Each team will be playing 14 league matches- 7 home and 7 away.
