Bigg Boss 5 Tamil Day 78 begins with the continuation of last night. Bigg Boss announces captaincy round. There is a big rope and all the contestants must hold on to that rope. Whoever leaves the rope will be eliminated from the captaincy task.
The task continues through the night. Contestants eats by holding on to the rope, they all travel together. Thamarai wants to go to the restroom and Niroop is reluctant about it.
However, everyone helps her out. Niroop questions her about what if she had removed her hands from the rope while using the restroom. Thamarai questions Niroop, what if he had left his hand while smoking. He says that everyone was able to see him but since Thamarai was inside, he doubts her. They get into a small verbal fight.
Later, Akshara says that this is not how the round should be played and if anyone else wants to eat or smoke they must leave the game.
Niroop then tries to pull the rope and Priyanka says that this is not how the game should be played. Niroop says that there is no such rules and tries to turn it into tug of war, he tries to pull everyone and Priyanka gets irritated, leaves the rope.
Sanjeev, Pavni, Akshara, Varun are also eliminated eventually before the next day morning song.
Akshara questions how Ameer is saved from nomination every week even though he hasn’t done much in the house. Varun says that he might be giving content while talking to Pavni.
Niroop and Priyanka get into a verbal fight. Priyanka questions why Niroop is not playing tug of war now and adds that he was playing that way just to eliminate here.
Raju and Ciby leave the rope. Niroop, Ameer and Thamarai are three contestants left now. Bigg Boss wants them to talk through and come up with a winner.
Niroop says that he is afraid that people might not vote for him and save him. Therefore, he wants to be the captain.
Ameer and Thamarai say that he is using the same plot again and again; that’s how he won the bus task and now, they are not ready to leave it.
Priyanka and Pavni say that it is his strategy and then Niroop gets tensed by the same.
Priyanka and Niroop get into verbal war once again.
-Niroop calls her an evil person, one who likes to take pleasure in others’ difficulties, someone who wants to interfere in every single thing.
-Priyanka questions Niroop for using the same strategy again and again. After the bus task, he had told that using those sentences had worked out well for him. Priyanka says that Thamarai might not understand what is happening and might leave the rope hearing these. Therefore, she wants to clarify all these.
-Niroop says that the game is between them and Priyanka shouldn’t interfere. He also adds that if Priyanka hates someone, she would take them down no matter what.
-He adds that if Abhishek was there in his place, she would’ve helped him out rather than talking this way.
-Priyanka is seen crying.
Later, Thamarai and Ameer are the last two left in the round. Thamarai convinces Ameer to leave the rope and he gives up, allowing her to win.
Everyone appreciates both their efforts.
