Delhi Capitals win their second match over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday to move to the top of the table.
The match had a bit of COVID scare at the beginning when T Natarajan had tested positive for coronavirus. His close contacts, including Vijay Shankar, had to enter isolation but the match went on.
Batting first, Hyderabad had a poor start with none of the top five players having a strike rate over 110. In the end, Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan increased the tempo and took the team to 134 for 9.
Chasing a below-par total, Capitals had lost Prithvi Shaw early but Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer managed to take the team almost home. Dhawan got out after making 42 and after his dismissal, Rishabh Pant smashed 3 fours and a couple of sixes to take the team closer.
Shreyas Iyer, who came back after injury, smashed 47* from 41 deliveries to take the team home.
Delhi Capitals moves to the top of the table now while Sunrisers Hyderabad will stay at the bottom of the table.
