Tasnim Mir becomes 1st Indian to claim World No.1 in U19 girl’s singles

Young Indian shuttler Tasnim Mir created history on Wednesday when she became the first ever Indian to claim the World Number one spot in U19 Girl’s singles.

2021 was an excellent year for the 16-year-old as she went on to win three international tournaments.

As a result, she had climbed up a few spot to take the World Number one position.

Years ago, PV Sindhu had held the number two spot in the Junior singles rankings.
