Big Boss 5 Tamil Day 57 begins with a conversation with Imman and Niroop. They talk about the captaincy task. Niroop says that he will be using the coin for captaincy swapping this week.
The captaincy task for a week- Kopuralangal saivadillai.
Abhishek, Ciby and Imman will be playing the task. Huge number of square boxes will be kept in one spot. There are three different platforms given to all three participants (Ciby, Imman, Abhishek). Each participant must take those boxes and build a tall tower. Other contestants who are not among the participants must try and destroy the tower using balls and balloons at the other end when the buzzer goes on.
Imman wins the task but Niroop uses the coin to become the captain of the week. Imman says that he got afraid and that’s why he is using the coin. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have done it.
Along with captaincy, Bigg Boss also gives punishment to Niroop- While talking to everyone, he must squat to their eye level and talk.
He splits contestants into four teams.
Priyanka, Abhinay, Akshara
Abhishek, Pavni, Varun
Imman, Ciby, Thamarai
Sanjeev, Ameer, Raju
He says that one group must do one work for a day and their work will be changed for the next day accordingly.
He gives power to Priyanka and Abhishek as well.
Everyone gets annoyed for the same and Imman Annachi shouts at Niroop.
Niroop dissolves the same and he says that everyone must follow whatever he says because he is the captain for the week.
Imman gets annoyed saying that he is not okay with Abhishek, Priyanka getting the power.
Imman says that he doubts Abhishek and Priyanka as they are likely to misuse the power. Priyanka gets annoyed and shouts at Imman Annachi, saying that they will not be misusing the power but it is Imman Annachi who has misused the power in every single round by not doing most of the chores.
Raju also supports Imman Annachi, saying that he had washed vessels, washed clothes and everything. Priyanka asks everyone to look into the Bigg Boss camera recording to know the truth.
Ciby and Akshara also shout at Niroop as the latter first tried to put them in the same team. Niroop clarifies that he just wanted them to sort things out and there was no other intention.
As the fight gets bigger, Niroop dissolves the meeting.
Imman talks Ciby, says that Niroop is trying to control everyone in this round and it doesn’t look good.
Varun, Niroop, Priyanka, Ameer talks about the coin. Varun says that the coin has controlling power, they can do literally anything in the house. Therefore everyone was annoyed when he wanted to give the power to Priyanka and Abhishek.
Niroop denies it, says that the coin doesn’t have so much power. Varun shouts at him, asks him to confirm it with Bigg Boss.
Priyanka says that Imman Annachi was the one who got “being partial” award, not her.
Varun fights with Niroop and then Varun says that he is not ready to follow any of the tasks that Niroop gives.
Imman questions Niroop why he is controlling. Niroop says that it is just his voice.
Ameer reminds Niroop about how he didn’t participate in the water task during Varun’s captaincy. Ameer asks him whether what he had done was right, Niroop argues his point and Ameer says that he will win over the house only when he understands what and why he had done is wrong.
Nomination for the week- Niroop, Ameer and Sanjeev cannot be nominated.

Ciby says that he doesn’t like how the coin works. Imman says that he was hurt when Niroop used the coin as right from day one, Imman had called him his brother.
