Bigg Boss 5 Tamil Day 73 begins with conversation between Pavni and Ameer. The latter tries to flirt with Pavni and Pavni, while smiling, says that she would pour coffee on his face and calls him as brother.
We then see a task. All contestants- except Ciby and Niroop- will be participating in this. Each one must stand inside the bowl filled with ice cube and must peel potato which is kept in hot bowl. While doing so, they must count for five minutes. If any contestant think that they had crossed five continuous minutes inside the bowl, they can step out. The one who counts it badly with so much difference to five minutes will be eliminated from this round and others will move to the next round.
Sanjeev finishes first while Varun is eliminated.
Everyone is in pain, couldn’t feel their legs.
Ameer once again flirts with Pavni and she calls him as her brother once again.
We then see another task. There will be a stand which is covered fully in balloons. Each player must stand behind the pole and must save it from others. The task will end once the buzzer go off. The contestant with least number of balloons will be eliminated from the round.
Raju doesn’t burst Akshara’s balloons as promised but Akshara in the end bursts Raju’s.
Raju gets angry for the way Akshara had behaved and he destroys her balloons even after getting out of the game. He says that she had betrayed him and that’s how he would do. Varun, who is the judge for the round, scolds Raju for his behaviour. In the end, Priyanka, who was the first one to be eliminated from the round, is eliminated from the whole task.
Varun fights with Raju for destroying the balloon. Sanjeev asks Priyanka why Thamarai is silent, Priyanka says that she is playing the game safe.
Raju asks Varun not to keep repeating the same stuff again and again.
Akshara and Raju fight once again. Akshara is seen crying and Varun, Thamarai consoles her.
Raju, on the other hand, talks to other contestants who says that he was right.
Raju says that Akshara said she would never burst his balloon but in the end, she took that only balloon that was there, he is eliminated because of that. Raju says that if she was fair, he is fair too.
Akshara complains to Varun about Raju. She says that Raju is increasing his voice only to her and that is hurting her.
Pavni says that she was disappointed when Ameer joined hands with others to destroy her balloon. He asks sorry. She says that it would make things worse.
Sanjeev was eliminated from the last round.
Bigg Boss announces another task, there will be a pole for every contestant and everyone must throw ring into that pole. Whoever has lesser rings will be eliminated.
Priyanka gets eliminated from the round. She says that she took the pressure to her head.
Akshara and Thamarai talks about Raju once again. Sanjeev asks Akshara to deal with him directly but Akshara says that she is not ready to talk.
Bigg Boss announces the next round. One by one must enter the activity area and none of them should tell what is happening inside.
Contestants are shown five random photos and this is more like a memory game. Bigg Boss asks same questions to everyone about the picture. Abhinay is the only one to get all five right. Pavni gets all wrong and is eliminated from the round.
Thamarai gets only one right and goes to the next round. She is happy for the same, says that she is brilliant than Pavni. Varun makes fun of her for the same.
Bigg Boss announces the next round. There are five contestants left and there will be a big dice with faces of the contestants. One of the side of the dice is plain. There will be three buzzers and in the end, contestants must make sure the plain side shouldn’t be on the top. At the end, whoever’s face is at the top, they will be eliminated.
Raju sits over the dice and asks the contestants to play. They try to change the dice position and even pushes Raju down once. He gets up and sits back once again. Akshara is not happy with the way Raju is playing the game. Also, Akshara’s face is on the top now.
Akshara, who is annoyed, asks Raju what she must do now. He tells either to play the game or sit simply. Akshara chooses the latter and leaves the game area. She shouts at Raju, tells not to talk to her at all. She even swears it over her father.
Priyanka, who is the judge for the round, asks Akshara to play the game properly and also to talk in Tamil. Akshara shouts at Priyanka too and asks her to stay out of it. Priyanka gets annoyed, shouts back and says that she is the judge for the round and if Akshara is not interested, she can leave the place. Akshara hits the dice in anger and leaves the place.
